The last group stage matches of the Men’s U19 World Floorball Championships 2021 were played today. On Saturday, it is time for the play-offs, semi-finals and first placement matches.
The two best teams from Group A and B play in the semi-finals. Finland won Group A and will meet Switzerland (2nd Group B). Czech Republic were placed second in Group A and they will play against Sweden (1st Group B). The 3rd placed teams in these groups will play for the fifth place, being Latvia and Germany.
The 4th placed teams in Group A and B, being Slovakia and Denmark, play against Estonia (1st Group C) and Poland (1st Group D), and then winners/losers play each other for the 7th-10th places. 2nd placed teams in Group C and D, respectively Slovenia and Austria play for the 11th place. 3rd and 4th placed teams from Group C, meaning Belgium and Hungary and 3rd placed team from Group D being Italy, play for places 12th-15th. The placings are decided on the cumulative results of these matches and will also include the result from the match Belgium v Hungary.
The rest of the placement matches as well as the bronze match and the final will take place on Sunday. The full match schedule can be found here.
