The Men’s U19 World Championships will take place from August 25 to August 29 in the Vodova Arenas in Brno, Czech Republic.
It has been more than 18 months since any WFC. Now, the final preparations for the Men’s U19 WFC are under its way. As previously announced, the Men’s U19 WFC 2021 will be played with 15 teams due to Covid-19 pandemic. Italy, Austria and Poland are playing in Group D.
Team Italy will take part with a healthy mixture of more experienced players and some who will face their first international games. The team wants to prove their progress against other national teams after the long break due to Covid-19.
Players to watch:
Tireless defender, will face any challenge and find the best solution for every game situation.
Skilled and positive forward, works hard both in offensive and defensive phases of the game.
Technical player with personality, effective forward in the opponent’s half-field.
AUSTRIA
It is a very young team but one that is eager for success. Team Austria wants to enjoy the atmosphere during the WFC and give everything in each single game. They are looking forward to the opportunity to play in Brno and they will try to surprise everyone.
Players to watch:
Played for the Men´s National Team in the 2020 WFC Qualification, playmaker with the ability to change the momentum.
A physically strong and tall defender with a great view of the game.
The team sniper, can score in each and every situation.
POLAND
The Polish team wants to re-establish their spot in the top 8 teams. This is thier main purpose and therefore they want to win every single match during this WFC.
Players to watch:
One of the best defenders in Poland, played in Slovak Extraleague, won the Polish Chmapionship with Górale Nowy Targ in 2019/2020.
Highly skilled forward, dertermined, played last season in Czech Superleague for FBC Ostrava.
Kacper Skura
Very fast and technically skilled forward, experience from the Polish Extraleague, has been nominated for MVP in the Polish Extraleague. Designated scorer.
