The Men’s U19 World Championships will take place from August 25 to August 29 in the Vodova Arenas in Brno, Czech Republic. 

It has been more than 18 months since any WFC. Now, the final preparations for the Men’s U19 WFC are under its way. As previously announced, the Men’s U19 WFC 2021 will be played with 15 teams due to Covid-19 pandemic. Czech Republic, Finland, Slovakia and Latvia are playing in Group A.

 

CZECH REPUBLIC

The winning team from the last U19 WFC- in Canada. It will be skillfull and talented team aiming for the gold medal (again) in front of home crowd. .

Players to watch:

Filip Forman

Already one of the best centre forward in the Czech Superleague with excellent offensive skills and also experience from the Swedish Super League.

 

 

 

Adam Hemerka

Strong and fast player, always dangerous for opponents. Champion 2021 in the Czech Superleague.

 

 

 

Tomáš Hanák

Star of the last season, very strong in front of the goal area and in counterattacks, natural goal-scorer.

 

 

 

FINLAND

The team from Finland is aiming for gold. Therefore the selection of players is an intersting and skilful mix of modern floorball.

Players to watch:

Alpo Laitila

Creative and unpredictable, already played four international games.

 

 

 

Waltteri Vesterinen

Just very clever with the ball, contributes regularly to the Finish scoring board.

 

 

 

Juuso Ahola

How fast can he actually run? Already scored eight international games.

 

 

 

SLOVAKIA

Team Slovakia will be a strong and clever team with ambitious to play good games against teams from top 4 nations. Their aim is 5th place.

Matus Gajdos

Clever guy and the leader of the team, played more than 16 international games.

 

 

 

Jan Suska
Young defender with huge potential for the future, very good in handling the ball.

 

 

 

Lukas Blaszczyk
Very tall but still quick enough to outrun opponents, with a lot of impossible movements on the court.

 

 

 

LATVIA

The selection from team Latvia stands for a young and passionate team that strives to achieve the highest goals with perseverance and discipline.

Players to watch:

Daniels Jānis Anis
Physically strong player who plays well with his body, creative in attack.

 

 

 

Krišjānis Tiltiņš
A technical player who understands the game well and creates goal scoring chances for partners.

 

 

 

Oskars Tūtāns
A technical defender who has a great feeling for the moments when to join in the attack.
