The Norwegian Women’s U19 national team will get a new staff member as Norwegian Floorball Association announced yesterday. Eline Winnberg will join the team as a coach.
The players will meet their new coach on the upcoming weekend when the national teams will have their first gatherings and fight to become the “Viking” in a testing event.
— I am both humbled and proud to be employed as national team coach for Norway U19 women. I look forward to representing the national team and Norway with an exciting group of players. Being involved in developing athletes at this level I see as an exciting challenge, and it is something I will put a lot of pressure on myself to succeed, Winnberg commented on the new position.
According to Norwegian Floorball Association’s press release, the current National team manager Magnus Skulstad is very pleased that Winnberg is joining the team:
— I am very grateful to have Eline in my team around U19 women. She has a broad competence, a clear leadership, and fits very well into the profile I was looking for in the work of linking a coach into the team. We are embarking on a very exciting task together, and I am very much looking forward to getting started with the team during the gathering and the Viking on 13th to 15th of August. I would also like to thank Anton Brenner for a great effort around the previous roster, Skulstad concludes.
