Floorball Denmark has launched a new floorball tournament, Everyday Floorball, with the aim to offer a new concept for players who want to play every now and then, and don’t have time to play in a regular team.
The concept is based on playing on a small court, three against three without goalkeeper, and the tournament runs over four weekdays. The tournaments are regional, in order to have short geographical distance and less travel. The aim is to organise Everyday Floorball for the following categories: U18 Men, U18 Women, Men, Women, +35 Men, +35 Women, +50 Men and +50 Women. The teams can register for each region in Denmark. It’s about making it simple and having a game format where many can join. Everyday Floorball is in that way a recruitment as well, to find new players from those who are not playing in the regular tournaments.
— It is an exciting new tournament format offer from Floorball Denmark, and as a federation, we are looking forward to see if it will be a success, not least in light of the Covid-19 situation, where many players may be in doubt whether they should play, says Steen Houman President of Floorball Denmark.
Floorball Denmark has also produced a Everyday Floorball promotion video (in Danish):
