The three-year partnership with Yle will guarantee that both the Women’s and the Men’s Finnish Cup finals and semi-finals are broadcast on Finnish Yle TV channels. The Cup in 2022 takes place from 7th to 9th of January.
During the final weekends, Yle will present the sports also in other ways than just via live matches. According to the press release from the Finnish Floorball Federation, the events will include strong presence and experiences when in addition to floorball, also the Cup events of basketball and volleyball are included in the catalog of Yle’s sports studio that is known for showcasing winter sports.

The contract has an extension option for 2025 and 2026.
118 teams participated in the Men’s Finnish Cup last season, including all league teams. 37 teams participated in the Women’s Cup. SPV (men) and FBC Loisto (women) are the reigning Cup champions when the event took place in February. They have secured their spots in the Super Cup which starts the next season in Finland. There they will meet the Finnish champions, SPV will face Classic and Loisto will play against PSS.
