Classic secured their fifth consecutive Finnish title by winning four straight games against Oilers in the F-liiga finals. Classic also secured a ticket to the Champions Cup 2022.
Classic’s previous championship victories came in 2016-2019 as no medals were awarded last spring due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In the semi-finals, Classic were just one game away from being eliminated but in the final series they were just unbeatable, and won the final series 4-0.
Sami Johansson, who has played amazing floorball in the play-offs, scored three goals in the fourth final. Johansson’s scored a total of 31 goals and 49 points in this year’s play-offs and this is a new record.
By winning the championship, Classic also secured a ticket to the Champions Cup (CC) 2022. The CC 2022 is played the 15th – 16th of January, in Winterthur, Switzerland.
Nokian Krp won the bronze match against TPS 1-0.
SB-Pro and PSS to meet in the Women’s finals
PSS was the first team to secure a a spot in the finals after defeating the semi-final series against SSRA 3-1. PSS will face SB-Pro in the best of seven finals, when SB-Pro beat Classic 3-2 in matches. The first match is played on the 17th of April.
