Floorball has recently been established in Ardabil, which means that floorball is currently played in a total of 15 provinces in Iran.

Iran has a total of 31 different provinces, so floorball covers nearly half of the provinces. The 15 provinces were floorball is currently played: Tehran, Zanjan, Qom, Ardabil, East Azarbayejan, Isfahan, Khorasan Razavi, Khorasab Jonobi, Mazandaran, Ilam, Kurdistan, West Azarbayejan, Kerman, Gilan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad.

– The Iran Floorball Association (IFA) is also trying to establish floorball in other provinces too with the help of IFF development committee by supporting Iran with new equipment because there is a little lack of equipment here, the IFA President Mr. Ramezanali Davalo, informs.

Recent development activities

The Iran Floorball Association has organised floorball development activities during the recent months, one webinar concentrating on developing floorball in Iran. The webinar was organised on the 10th of February and was attended by 35 participants. A second webinar was organised on the 4th of March and was attended by 30 participants. This webinar concentrated on how to find new floorball talents and on teaching coaches about finding and training talented players. The webinar lecturers were Mr. Ramezanali Davalo and Mr. Abdolah Karami, head of talents committee.

The Iran Floorball Association has also created a new training book named Floorball instructions from basic to advance, which was edited and translated by Mr. Ramezanali Davalo and Mr. Mohammad Amin Davalo, Media contact of IFA.
