The German national team forward Anna-Lena Best is best known for her floorball performance on the field. The 21-year-old is however also currently studying psychology at the Ruhr University Bochum and now needs help from floorball players to get data for her Floorball and Personality research.
– As part of my studies in psychology I am investigating the relationship between playing positions, performance levels and personality of floorball players. To this date there has been limited research about personality differences between athletes of different performance levels and even more limited research about personality differences between playing positions. Because of my love for floorball, I combined my interest in personality research with floorball to investigate this matter and therefore enlighten this field of psychology more, Anna-Lena Best informs.
Anna-Lena Best is collecting data from floorball players around the world via an online survey that takes about 20 minutes to complete. As a reward for completing the survey, the players can get an individual personality profile.
– Everyone who meets the criteria of the study (playing floorball, being at least 18 years old and consenting to take part) and finishes the survey, can decide to get his or her individual personality profile in the end of the study, Anna-Lena Best adds.
