There are four different men’s categories in this year’s Czech Open: Elite, Pro, Open and Under 21. For the women there are two different categories: Elite and Open. This year, because of the covid-19 pandemic, there are a reduced number of teams from abroad and there are only Czech teams in the Elite categories.

Men’s Elite category: 1. SC Vítkovice, FbŠ Bohemians, Panthers Otrokovice and Tatran Střešovice
Women’s Elite category: 1. SC Vítkovice, Tatran Střešovice, FBC ČPP Ostrava, Florbal Chodov, Panthers Praha, Start98 Kunratice and Český florbal

The biggest category is the Men’s Open category with 55 teams and in the Women’s Open category there are also 23 teams. In addition to Czech teams there are teams from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia taking part. Check all teams and categories here.

– We have had some challenges with finalising the match schedule because some teams had to cancel their participation due to the changes in the travel restrictions. Due to the pandemic we have also included preventive measures like no handshake after the game, disinfection of the players bench after each game, having a max. capacity in one arena of 500 people, visitors having to wear masks at the arena and no tournament party is organised, Czech Open Managing Director Kristýna Matoušová informs.
