SK Harvard Partizanske aims to popularise floorball in the Slovakian schools with their COOL sticks for sCHOOL kids project. In particular, the club wants to strengthen their cooperation with the primary schools in the region.

As the first step, the club would like to organise the basic coaching course for the physical education teachers in primary schools. This course would focus on floorball skills and would be led by licensed club coaches. After the course, coaches could support teachers during the existing or new school hobby group lessons where they could help kids to learn basic floorball skills. This could lead to more kids playing floorball at school or after school in the mentioned hobby groups.

As a next step, SK Harvard Partizanske would like to organise a few floorball tournaments, for all the participating schools. In these events the individual teams and players would be awarded. This could help to reinforce the kids’ connection to sport, especially floorball. It could also help the club to bring more kids to their floorball sessions and enlarge their membership base. The kids could subsequently participate in the competition organised by the Slovak Floorball Association.

– So the main purpose of this activity is to popularise floorball and enable the kids to play it as hobby or possibly in organised competitions, SK Harvard Partizanske informed in their application.

In addition to ten projects, that received the most votes in the IFF Kids with Sticks Facebook voting, the IFF decided to support six additional projects with a set of sticks and the COOL sticks for sCHOOL kids was one of these projects.
