The IFF Central Board has today in conjunction with the Singapore Floorball Association (SFA) taken the decision to postpone the Men’s U19 World Floorball Championships 2021 AOFC Qualification that was planned to take place the 12th – 17th October 2020.

The decision was based on the fact that the effects of COVD-19 are still being strongly felt in many countries around the world and the fact that the SFA have advised that, due to the current government restrictions, they are unable to organise the Men’s U19 WFC AOFC Qualification. Regional travel restrictions would also have meant that even if they were able to organise, many countries would still not have been able to participate.

– At this time we cannot give any firm dates for the rescheduling except to say that we are looking to have the event played at the beginning of 2021 in January/February. The new dates will depend on the availability of facilities in Singapore as well as discussions with the final round organisers, as a delay in deciding the qualifying teams has a direct impact on their organisation as well. The IFF Central Board will discuss the future events further at their September meeting, the IFF Event Manager Sarah Mitchell informs.

The Men’s U19 World Floorball Championships will be played in Brno, Czech Republic, April 28th – May 2nd 2021.
