Hungary will join the 3 Nations Women’s Floorball league alongside Austria and Slovenia. The league will be played with a total of seven teams.

The first ever season of the Women’s Floorball League (WFL) was organised by the Austrian and Slovenian Floorball Federations and it ended in February 2020. The Slovenian team Polanska Banda was crowned as the first champion of the new league without losing a single game.

For the new season, the league will expand into Hungary with three Hungarian teams joining the league: Phoenix Fireball, Komárom and Cartoon Heroes. Phoenix Fireball and Komárom have teams in the Men’s International Floorball League. From the Austrian teams both Zell am See and the runner-up Linz/Rum will compete again with WFV joining the league for the first time. The Austrian team Hotshots/VSV and the Slovenian team Olimpija Ljubljana withdrew from the league. This means that the reigning champion Polanska Banda will be the only team from Slovenia in the WFL.

The Austrian Women’s Bundesliga will see a comeback when FBC Dragons returns to the league this season. Since the Hotshots/VSV withdrew from the league, the Dragons will join the reigning champion Linz/Rum, WFV and Zell am See.
