The Philanthropic Association Children’s Ark, Floorball Ark, is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) located in the south of São Paulo that aims to serve children, young people and adolescents who live in a state of social vulnerability. With the IFF Kids with Sticks UNIHOC equipment support the organisation aims to provide floorball activity to vulnerable youth in the region.

The organisation supports schools by providing activity to the children in the morning before school, which prevents them from being on the street. The Ark was founded by a couple of Germans and a couple of Swiss and through them floorball arrived to a community in Jardim Noronha, well known for its high crime rates. The organisation has been running floorball courses with the help of the organisation floorball4all based in Swtizerland.

– We have for a long time received donations of equipment and money from the missionaries who have travelled to Brazil, but today they have returned to their home countries and we do not have enough equipment anymore. With the new material we could expand our work. Today we reach 230 people including young people, children and adults but with more equipment we can enter new schools and other partner NGOs, the organisation informed in their application.

The Floorball Ark project received the most votes (a total of 3553 votes) in the IFF Kids with Sticks Facebook voting. For more information visit Floorball Ark Facebook page!

More presentations of the Kids with Stikcs winners will be presented during summer on the IFF website.
