The Finnish Floorball club Welhot has decided to help the floorball players in Croatia. The equipment will be send to the city of Donja Stubica when the club can return back to their normal activities. 

The earthquake that struck Croatia and Zagreb on Sunday 22.3.2020 has caused significant material damage in the region, affecting people’s lives and well-being now and for the foreseeable future. In Croatia, floorball is only just beginning to gain popularity compared to Finland, the news of your earthquake that is currently shaking the world may have a devastating effect on the vitality of this great hobby in that area.

Welhot; one of Kuopio’s floorball clubs, for its part, wants to help support the survival, growth and development of the sport in Croatia during this challenging time by collecting equipment from its members as soon as everything returns back to normal.

Donated sticks, goggles, playing shoes, goalie gear and other hobby items will be sent to the floorball clubs Hidraulika Kurelja and SD Stubica in Donja Stubica, near Zagreb, Croatia.

– We hope for strength and prosperity in every home in the world, and we will announce more about this collection and related arrangements as this Coronavirus situation stabilises, the club informs on their website.

Welhot is asking TPS Floorball and equipment supplier Fat Pipe to get involved in equipment donations and collection. The Finnish Floorball Federation is also involved in supporting the campaign.
