The organisers of the famous road running race, Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre, awarded Floorball Spain with the prize of promotion and developing the sport 2019.
The ceremony trophy was handed out on December 20th 2019 as a preparatory session for the race.
— For Floorball Spain this was a superb occasion to present our sport and to be in contact with the media and other sport personalities, says Carlos Lopez, the Secretary General of the Spanish Floorball Association.
Other personalities and organisations awarded this year were:
- Nuria Fernández, Spanish female athlete. Running 1500 m, she ended her career at last’s year Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana
- Iñaki Cano, Spanish sport journalist.
- LaLiga, 90 anniversary of this huge sport organisation
- Spanish Female handball national Team, for their success in the last World handball Championships.
- Atlético de Madrid female team, Iberdrola League champion
About San Sivestre Vallecana
On December 31st, 2019, the 55th edition of the Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana Internacional was celebrated around the streets of Madrid. The San Silvestre Vallecana is an annual 10 km road race held on 31 December in Madrid since 1964, in the borough of Vallecas, Spain.
