Ostrava will welcome an International Coaching Conference taking place during the Champions Cup, on January 11th 2020. The conference will focus on the Swiss way of a Swedish coach and look back at the U19 World Champions.
Four coaching personalities will be presenting their ideas at the international coaching conference in Ostrava. Trainers can look forward to meeting the Swedish coach David Jansson, who is currently training the Swiss national team, or the coaching tandem of world champions Jiří Jakoubek and Jaroslav Berka. The programme will be completed by Jyri Korsman, head coach of Floorball Köniz.
Many Czechs as well as foreign coaches remember last year’s international conference in Prague, which took place during the Men’s World Championship 2018 (video HERE). More than 280 leaders from all over the world came to the Pavel Kolář Center for Movement Medicine to hear Patrik Bäck from Falun, Joonas Naava from Erä Viikingit or coaches Martin Daněk and Marek Vojta.
This season, the main presenter will be the current coach of the Swiss national team David Jansson, who, besides a large lecture, will sit in a small group of coaches and discuss with them the future of floorball. The conference will mainly focus on the implementation of the Swiss way in the national team, but also in clubs across the country. The Czech footprint will then be left by two coaches and world champions at the same time. Jiří Jakoubek and Jaroslav Berka will explain why it is necessary to focus on comprehensive player development. All of this in the application for the U19 golden national team.
The last lecturer is Jyri Korsman, who has achieved two gold medals with the Finnish U19 national team and participated in the super finals with the Erä Viikingit team. Jyri will primarily talk about details in training and in matches that give his team an advantage over their rivals.
The International Coaching Conference in Ostrava will take place on January 11, 2020 in the new auditorium of the University of Ostrava between 9:00 and 15:00. Registration will be possible through the FIS portal only and the entire conference will be translated simultaneously. The participation fee is 50 euro.
