The Swedish national team forward Anna Wijk broke the Women’s WFC all time point scorer record in the match against Latvia. The previous record belonged to Emelie Lindström (SWE) who has 73 points (37 goals and 36 assists). Lindström reached this record during the WFC 2013.

Wijk had 64 points when the Women’s WFC started on Saturday. She then had a great start for the event, when in the first match against Slovakia she gathered five assists. In Monday’s evening match against Czech Republic, Wijk assisted four more and reached Lindström’s record of 73 points. After tonight’s match against Latvia, Wijk has 77 points (20 goals and 57 assists).
