The IFF Medical Committee has produced medical documents relating to concussion recognition and follow up. These guidelines are developed to advise and assist floorball teams and players about concussions, how to quickly recognise the condition and when to return to play.
– Event though head injuries are not very common in floorball it is important to recognise a concussion when it happens to avoid any further complications. Therefore the IFF Medical Committee wanted to also develop easy to read guidelines and recognition tools that can be used by floorball teams when needed, says IFF Medical Committee Chair, Dr Walter Frey, who has also been the Swiss Olympic ski team doctor, and has experience of concussion guidelines in Ski sports.
