The 14th Prague Masters, the biggest tournament for floorball veterans, was played from 7th to 9th of November 2019. More than 80 teams from 11 different countries were represented at this year’s event.
There were a total of five different age categories at the Prague Masters: M35+, M40+, M45+ and W30+, W35+.
A big surprise was seen in the Women’s 30+ category, when IKSU from Sweden lost in the quarter-finals against the Czech team Vítkovice Selection. Vítkovice Selection then continued to impress and became the champions in the Women’s 30+ category. In the final they beat another Czech team, Elite Elemnts Team, by 2-1. IKSU was convincing in the Women’s 35+ category and won the final against Tunet Hotshots from Norway 7-0.
Riga Oilers from Latvia won the Men’s 35+ category after defeating Sveiva IB 35+ in the final 4-3. Team Thorengruppen SK from Sweden became double champions after winning both the Men’s 40+ and Men’s 45+ category. In the M40+ category they beat SBS Kings Old Farts from Finland 3-0 in the final and in the M45+ category they won the final against Bauska from Latvia 5-3.
