In its continuous efforts to develop sales and marketing the IFF has initiated a cooperation with the Glion Higher Institute of Education.  Glion offers top hospitality degree programs and is recognized as one of the world’s best hospitality management schools.

From September 2018 to January 2019, a group of five current Glion students will be working with IFF to help take the sport to the next level. Specifically, they’ll be looking at fan profiles, brand values and how floorball can increase its appeal to corporate sponsors. And it’s all part of Glion’s Applied Business Project (ABP), giving students genuine business experience thorough strong industry relationships.

With the delightful international growth of floorball, increased number of member countries, international events and players, comes also the pressure to serve the growing needs of the floorball world. This requires more man hours and therefore more funds.

–  It has been identified that we underachieve in terms of sponsorship income when we look at our offering for potential partners. To facilitate the decision-making for partners we need to offer them more facts and data. This project aims to satisfy that need and reveals us insight about our fans. While doing so we also offer students a real-life case to work with. A win-win I would say,  Tero Kalsta, the Sales Coordinator at the IFF, explains.

The work of the students will be followed on the ABP-Program blog as well as in the social media channels of Glion and the IFF.
