Finland and Czech Republic are suffering a setback as their number one goalkeepers, Eero Kosonen (FIN) and Lukas Soucek are out due to injuries.

Eero Kosonen won the World Floorball Championship title with team Finland in December. He was one of the important pillars of the team and was supposed to continue with Finland at The World Games. Now, due to an injury he is being replaced with a younger goalie Santtu Strandberg. Strandberg was part of Finland’s WUC team in 2016 as they won the University Championships. He has also been to the EFT in 2017 and 2015 and was part of the FIN v SWE challenge in 2015.

Lukas Soucek was with team Czech Republic in WFC 2016 in Riga. For the first time in almost 15 years the number one goalkeeper in Czech Republic wasn’t Kafka but Soucek. Soucek has been chosen as the best goalkeeper in the Czech league and has won several Czech league titles. Soucek is being replaced by Radovan Michajlovic due to injury. The World Games will be the first major international tournament for him at the age of thirty. He has been at the WFCQ in 2014 and played some international tournaments in 2014 and 2017.
