How does it feel to be part of the national team?

Wojciech: It’s really special to be a part of the national team. It’s an honour to represent my country in the World floorball championships. It’s a really moving moment for example when I hear the national anthem before the match.
Karol: I think it’s a great feeling. Especially being the captain in the U19, it’s the biggest responsibility and I think we just have to do our best.

How does it feel to be playing at TWG?
Wojciech: Such an honour and joy. Because for us, for floorball, it’s the most important competition so far.
Karol: I think it’s a big chance for me and for Poland. We are organising this big tournament and we will try to show our best floorball with the best teams in the world

Who would you say is your toughest opponent at TWG?
Wojciech: Finland, because they are the reigning World Champions
Karol: I think team USA is the toughest opponent but of course we will go to each match to beat our opponent.

How did you start playng floorball?
Wojciech: When I was 8 years old, they started a club in the city where I was living. Actually my friend took me there and I simply enjoyed it and decided to stay.
Karol: My father was a coach so I started playing floorball when I was 5 or 6 and I have enjoyed it ever since

What has been your most memorable floorball moment so far?
Wojciech: I have had two really memorable floorball moments in my life so far. One was that I got to play in the U19 in Helsingborg two years ago. I was just 16 years old, but my coach gave me a chance and I was able to play with my team where everyone was 3-4 years older than me. It was really special. And also, half a year ago, I had an opportunity to play with the Men’s team and that was really great for me.
Karol: I can’t say it’s only one moment. There are few. I think taking part in the U19 WFC in Helsingborg and the Men’s WFC in Latvia and of course the 2017 U19 WFC.

Who do you look up to? Any idols?
Wojciech: Outside of floorball I have to say Lionel Messi from FC Barcelona and when talking about floorball it’s Mika Kohonen. He is my favourite and I really hope that I get to play against him at The World Games.
