12th of April has been declared as International Floorball Day. The day has been celebrated around the world, including India.


In celebration of the International Floorball Federation’s (IFF) 30th anniversary and the development of the sport, April 12th was announced as the International Floorball Day. In India, the Indian Floorball Federation (InFF) under the guidance of Dr. Prabhat Kumar, President of InFF, also celebrated the happy day. All associations across the country took part in the festivity in their own way.

A big celebration was organised in New Delhi by InFF Central Board. The event was held at Sports Complex, Yuva Shakti Model School, Rohini Delhi. Main guest for the celebration was Mr. Harinder Kumar, Executive Member of Asian and Oceania Floorball Confederation (AOFC) and Chairman of FAD. Speeches of the recent development and achievements of InFF and IFF were held by Mr. Harinder Kumar, Mr. Jitender Singh, Mr. Dinesh Deswal, Mr. Subhash Chandra, and Mr. Rajesh Kumar.


A friendly match between National Champion Delhi and rest of the national players was played. This made the celebration more alive.
– Each one enjoyed the event. Also oath has been taken to take Floorball to a new height, says Pradeep Singh, General Secretary of InFF.
