The first international floorball tournament for the deaf, Prague Deaf Open, is organised in June.

Prague Deaf Open will be held in Prague, Czech Republic 3-5.6. The main organiser is one of the biggest Czech clubs, FbS Bohemians. All the matches will be played in their home arena.
The philosophy of Bohemians is to connect people, to offer effective ways to spend free time to both children and adults. And they don’t forget about the people who need their help more than anyone else. That is why Bohemians founded Prague Deaf Open which will offer everything that is typical for their philosophy, says one of the organisers Barbora Blazkova.

As the name implies the tournament is for people who are deaf. Prague Deaf Open has two different categories.
Mixed Elite is designed for players who actively take part in floorball competitions. All the players should be deaf or have problems with hearing.
Mixed Open is targeted for teams who participate in lower level competitions, for unorganized teams and for complete beginners. Team is allowed to have two hearing players.

-The best thing about this tournament is that anybody can join. Not only do we sign up entire teams, but we also accept single players. We also have two categories: one for experienced floorball players and one for complete beginners! No one has to let the lack of their floorball skills draw them back. Prague Deaf Open is mostly about fun, trying floorball and getting to know the new sport, new city and new friends, says Blazkova.
