CUF Leganés won the finals against UHK Madrid with 2–0 in matches and are the 2010 Spanish National Champions.

After a clear victory on Saturday (8 – 0) for CUF Leganes almost everyone was expecting an easy second victory for the reigning champions, but UHK Madrid played a very good second match on Sunday. UHK Madrid led the match three times (1-0, 2-1 and 3-2).

Leganes had the ball control but UHK Madrid worked very well in their defensive zone and had a lot of goal chances. Both goalies made some amazing saves and it wasn’t until the end of the second period when Leganés scored and took a 5-3 lead in the match.

During the third period UHK Madrid tried to draw the match but Leganes kept their lead and finally took the victory with 8 – 4 with two goals in the last minute.

Season highlight in the Final

The Spanish Association organised a special final event during the last match; setting it as a final ceremony for all the teams in all categories. All the teams were invited to come and celebrate the end of a fantastic floorball season. It was a great success for Spanish Floorball with nearly 400 spectators. During the intermissions the medals and prizes for the different competitions were given in a wonderful floorball atmosphere.

The floorball year 2010 was successful for the Spanish Association with a record amount of participating teams in the competitions and with the hosting and organising of the World Championship Qualifications in February in El Escorial, which was followed by spectators and media. Now it is time for the Summer floorball events with Floorball Camps, promotional tournaments and also friendly matches.
