Emelie Lindström scored one goal in the match and has now passed Sara Wiksten´s record of points in one WFC with one point. Lindström has now collected 22 points (16+6) and she has also scored the same amount of goals in one WFC, 16 goals, as the record holder Wiksten in the WFC 1997.

Both Mirca Anderegg and Karolina Widar have given 5 assists in the tournament and have passed Linda Kristiansen´s previous all time record of 17 assists. The Women´s WFC records 1997 – 2007 are found here.

Earlier in the tournament, Lindström set a new WFC single match record in Sweden’s 28-1 win over USA. In that match she scored 10 goals (10 + 2) and was awarded as best player. She is now the new WFC single match record holder in the amount of goals and points. The previous goal record was from 2003 when Jonna Kettunen scored seven goals against Russia when Finland won with 15-0. The previous record in points was eight points scored by several players.

Lindström was of course very happy after that match.
– I had a lot of open goal chances so it was difficult to miss. It is always fun to score a lot of goals, but this is not yet the time to play the best game. I hope that the good performance will continue, says Lindström in innebandy.se interview.
