After four years the Finnish ascendancy over the veteran floorball the Czech team P.CA Milada became an unofficial European club champion of the year 2009. The Czech ladies of the team Ovocné Báze captured the title in newly opened female category.

More than 500 senior male and female players from Finland, Latvia, Hungary, Norway, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and Czech Republic proved that the floorball is a sport for all generations. Sweat and tears, emotions and refined style, fair play and friendship as well as abrupt encounters and blunt words – all this belongs to Chance Prague Masters.

In the semi-finals the Prague male players dominated even over the Swedish IBK Goteborg, in which the former legends of the Swedish Elitserien – Kristian Strandberg and Jerker Lundgren/both gained 25 points in 9 matches.

In the finals another confrontation of the Swedish and Czech floorball occurred. P.CA Milada outplayed the Swedish Umea City Veterans in the dramatic match and so it became the European champion of veterans. The Norwegian team Sveiva IB won the bronze medal.

The women´s final was a Czech-Latvian battle. The Prague team Medik Ovocné Báze outplayed the Latvian team Cielavinas Armija playing in pink dresses. The third place after the nerve-racking ending was finally snatched by the veteran players of Tigers can celebrate already the second European medal.
