UHC Dietlikon took the double again in Switzerland as they defeated Red Ants Rychenberg with 3-1 in the final series. This was the fifth championship victory for Dietlikon and the fourth in a row.

Natalie Stadelmann and Mirca Anderegg (pictured) both scored three goals in the fourth and decisive match, which was won by Dietlikon with 8-4.

Despite the four goal difference the match was very tight, as the game was only 5-4 to Dietlikon after two periods.

Dietlikon won the first matches with 4-1 and 4-3, but the third match was won by the Red Ants with 8-7 after penalties.

This was yet another successful season for Dietlikon as they also won the Swiss Cup in March. As the Swiss champion, Dietlikon is directly qualified to the EuroFloorball Cup finals to be played in Denmark on the 14th – 18th of October 2009.

The Red Ants will also have the possibility to make it to the EFC final through the EFC Top 4 Qualifications to be played in the end of August.
