The swiss unihockey association, will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in just 13 months time, on April 20, 2010. The central committee has decided to combine the anniversary celebrations with the 4 nation’s tournament.

The men’s national teams from Sweden, Finland, and the Czech Republic will play in the 4 nations tournament held from April 23 to 25, 2010. The tournament and a comprehensive supporting programme will be staged in Zurich’s main railway station.

Beach volleyball or the opera “La Traviata”: Zurich’s main railway station has already played host to various special events. However, as yet, floorball has not been presented there. This will be rectified next year: swiss unihockey is planning to celebrate its 25th anniversary there and has reserved the venue.

The association intends to stage the Euro Floorball Tour series in Zurich’s main railway station from April 23 to 25, 2010. The Euro Floorball Tour is an encounter involving the world’s four best floorball nations, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. The April 2010 tournament will permit all teams to take stock of their position in advance of the next world championships which take place eight months later in Finland in December 2010.

In addition to the games in Zurich’s main railway station an attractive supporting programme will be organised for passers-by and those interested in the sport.

Swiss unihockey’s current sponsors and associates are all enthusiastic about the idea so the staff at the association’s head office are now pressing ahead with the detailed planning. The event will not impose any burden on the association’s budget.
