May 2006 in Globen Arena, over 12 500 spectators, extra-time in the WFC Final and a golden goal for the home team. That was the last scene from the previous Men´s World Championships. More than two years has passed from that moment and now the arena is open for new heroes. It is time to write history again. 

The 7th Men´s World Championships will be played in Czech Republic. The group games of A- and B-divisions will be played in Ostrava at CEZ Arena 6.-10.12.2008. After the standings in the groups are determined, the WFC will move to Prague. During the weekend of 12.-14.12. both A- and B-division playoffs will be played in O2 Arena and Sparta Arena.

The WFC 2008 will consist nine days and totally 54 thrilling matches will be played. The throne of the tournament will be the WFC Final on Sunday the 14th of December when the title of the World´s Best Team will be up for grabs. The setting for the Final will be bigger than ever as the 02 Arena has the capacity for 17 000 spectators. The valid spectator record for Floorball is 15 106 and it was made as early as year 1996 in the first WFC. Now there is a true chance to put that record to history and make a new in O2 Arena.

The tournament will be opened on Saturday 6.12.2008 with eight matches. The first match in B-division is between Germany and Great Britain at 10:10. An hour later, at 11:10, the A-division will be kicked off in a match where Estonia will meet Switzerland. The home team Czech Republic will start their tournament at 17:10 against Russia.
