Season´s kick-off is around the corner for the French Floorball Association with great news that illustrates the expansion of floorball: A record number of 16 teams have registered to participate the 2008-2009 edition of the national league, compared to 9 teams during last season.
There are new clubs that have just appeared on the French Floorball map, such as Caen, Amiens and Grenoble. These three clubs have managed to build up competitive teams already for the upcoming season. In addition some other new clubs that will not yet take part in the national league this year, are already training for the next season in other regions, such as the Saint Louis Mooses in Alsace and the Toros of Béziers in the sunny south.
This increase of participating teams has made the Organisation Committee split the teams into two separate divisions for the first time in the AFF´s history.
The regular season and the play-off matches will be played as usual during a number of weekends with the teams gathered in the same place to play thrilling games, to share experience and to enjoy the great spirit of floorball.
The first matches will be played in Paris on 29th and 30th of November.
