The Swedish player, Magnus Svensson, (born in 1983) has been elected the Best Floorball Player of the World for 2008 by the Swedish Floorball Magazine Innebandymagazinet. The election was made by national team coaches and media representatives from all over the world.

Magnus Svensson is playing for the Swedish National Team and for Warberg IC. He has won 3 Swedish Championships, 1 EuroFloorball Cup, 2 World Championships and one U19 World Championship. He was elected the forward of the year 2006 and 2008 in Sweden, and a player of the year in Sweden 2008.

During the past years the nominated players have been Anders Hellgård, Sweden (2006 and 2007) and to Mika Kohonen, Finland (2005).
