The season in Italy ended in the spring and there were some progress in spreading the sport in the country. The Italian Floorball Assosiation (FIUF) was approved as a member of IFF year 2001 and since then the federation has grown steadily.

The following important results were achieved in Italy during the season 2007/08:
1. The number of licensed players reached a new record:  415 (+ 42% growth)
2. The Italian Floorball Association (FIUF) was for the first time present at the important exhibition Rimini Wellness, which had 130.000 visitors in four days
3. The Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) introduced the Italian Floorball Association in their Observatory for new sports, which means that in two years time official recognition could be obtained
4. Delegates from Italy participated in the IFF Development Seminar in Spain.
5. Italy participated in the WFC U19 for the first time
6. The use of effective time, following IFF standard, was introduced in the Italian championship

 Small, but important steps for Italian floorball going in the right direction.
