The first national youth cup was organized in Great Britain on 5th and 6th of July. The youth cup was organized in two different categories, Junior Youth League and Senior Youth League.

This tournament was the first national youth tournament organized in Great Britain. There were players aged from 4 to 15 years old playing in the tournament. The teams were from as far as Bolton Lancashire, the Cotswolds and Farnham Surrey. The level of play was phenomenal and all the young people did their absolute best.

This event really put floorball in to the media in Great Britain and the federation is now making contacts with various youth organizations who are interested in floorball. There are also young people paid employment to coach floorball which is a real achievement.

In the National Youth Cup the referees were also young, aged 10 to 15 years old. The whole event was organized and run by young people with the Great Britain´s Youth Development Committee supporting them.

The winners of the Junior Youth League were Ilmington Eagles and in the final of Senior Youth League Campden Dragons were beaten by Ilmington Eagles. So the club Ilmington Eagles won the both titles this year.
