Finnish Floorball Federation rewarded today their seasons 2007-08 best floorball players and the best coach:

The best male player: Tero Tiitu, SSV, who plays on top level both as a defender and forward. Tiitu played an important part when in spring when SSV finished their season winning the championship gold.

Previous teams: Josba, Espoon Oilers
International matches: 59 games, 30 scores + 20 assists = 50 points
Season 2007-08: 26 games, 22+13=35, penalties 10 min.

 

The best female player: Katriina Saarinen, SC Classic, who played a very good and solid season, making most points during the season. The best defending center in the Finnish league who lead Classic to the championship gold.

Previous teams: HoHi
International matches: 53 games, 36 scores + 26 assists = 62 points
Season 2007-08: 18 games, 23+15=38, penalties 4 min.

 

The Most Valuable Male Player (men´s league players have voted):
Mikael Järvi, SSV (with 40% of all votes)

Previous teams: VFT, HIFK
International matches: 57 games, 37 scores + 23 assists = 60 points
Season 2007-08: 24 games, 30+20=50, penalties 22 min.

 

The Most Valuable Female Player (women´s league players have voted):
Elisa Piispa, PSS (with 30% of all votes)

Previous teams: MiSba, Pepe, VFT, Rönnby IBK
Medals: EFC-gold, Swedish Championship, Finnish Championship,
International matches:  games, scores + assists = points
Season 2007-08: 15 games, 10+6=16, penalties 0 min.

 

The coach of the season: Petteri Bergman, Tapanilan Erä

Lead his team Tapanilan Erä to their best season in the league, which was crowned with the Finnish Cup victory and the bronze medal in the league.

 

100 International games played in the Finnish national team: Mika Kohonen (Storveta IBK, Sweden)
