Floorball has taken big steps forward in Germany during the previous year. According to the latest development report from the German Floorball Association (DUB), the amount of players in Germany have increased with nearly 1000 players in 2007 and today there are approximately 5000 Floorball players in Germany.

In addition the German Floorball Association could also welcome 2 new state associations and 30 new Floorball clubs during 2007. Mr. Dominique Staiger, the President of the German Association is very happy with the development and is now looking into new projects for 2008.

In May 2008 the 1st Floorball summertour will kick off with about 500.000 visitors on 5 festival-weekends around Germany. The aim is not only to show Floorball to a big crowd a few days but also to get Floorball into the schools and clubs in Germany. The main focus is on children and youth from Kindergarten up to 14 years. The DUB school projects will start in autumn 2008

The DUB has presented Floorball in Germany at the ispo trade show twice and now the DUB also used the chance to present the sport at the ispo Sportsponsoring-Congress and the German Floorball Association has gained important contacts from the sports market during both the ispo trade fair and the Sportsponsoring-Congress.
