The SCIF (Sveriges Centralförening för Idrottens Främjande) annually appoints the Federation of the year within Swedish sports movement and in 2007 this price has been received by the Swedish Floorball Federation.
The following criteria were emphasized by the SCIF as reasons for the election: “A young, modern and established federation, which during continuous expansion handles the elite, width and equality in an exemplary way and is simultaneously leading the international development of the sport”
The Swedish President, Lars-Gunnar Tjärnquist, was very delightful and was of the opinion that the reasons for winning the price were as pleasing as the price itself.
As a price for the recognition the Swedish Floorball Federation received 250 000 SEK. The Swedish Floorball Federation has previoulsy received this award in 1996.
