The second IFF Development Program Seminar this year was held in Wolsztyn, Poland on 5th to 8th of October. The seminar gathered participants from member federations like Poland and Latvia, as well as Lithuenia, a first timer in an IFF event which will hopefully launch a progress in the country bringing Lithuenia closer to the IFF family and further membership.

The participants were given information about organising and developing the organisation-, refereeing- and coaching systems in their respective countries and all the blocks were well represented. The participants in the organisation block found the leadership management the most interesting. The lectures also contained a lot of information about different rules and regulations conserning both national and international affairs. The referee block appreciated most information about game management, and all the practical hints during games. In the coaching block the most valuable information seemed to be included in the practical sessions, as well as the lessons containing information and discussion of tactics in floorball.

“- The arrangements for the seminar were excellent”, comments John Liljelund refering to the work done by the Polish Floorball Federation. “-The surroundings enabled the participants and the lecturers to fully concentrate on the main thing and this gives a strong belief that Poland is capable of organising other bigger IFF events, such as the qualification of womens WFC 2007.”
