In the second Semi Final match Finland won against Switzerland with 5-2 in front of 7153 spectators. Although the final score gave Finland a comfortable win, the situation was very tight all through the match. Finland scored the first goal after only 34 seconds and also scored the second goal in the match. After this the Swiss started to get control of the match and when Finland got a two minutes penalty Christoph Hofbauer assisted by his brother Matthias Hofbauer scored the first goal for the Swiss. At the end of the first period Finland managed to increase their lead again to 3-1, which was the result after the first period.

In the beginning of the second period the match got very interesting when Marc Dysli scored for Switzerland and the Finns had only a one goal lead again. This was also the situation until the middle of the third period. Then the third brother pair of today, this time from Finland also introduced themselves. Mika Kohonen found an opening in the Swiss defence and gave a long and precise pass to Tatu Väänänen. He could then pass the ball freely to Mikko Kohonen who scored a 4-2 lead for Finland. In the end of the third period Switzerland took out the goalkeeper, but this did not help and Markus Bollström could still score one goal for Finland into the empty net.
