Two more teams made their way to the EC Finals during the weekend. Tatran Techtex Stresovice became the men’s champion in Czech Republic by defeating FBC SGB Pepino Ostrava in the Playoff Finals 3-1 (best-of-five) and Espoon Oilers became the new Finnish men’s champion by defeating SSV Helsinki 3-0 (best-of-five). Here is the updated situation of the teams in the EC Finals:

 

 Men:

Sweden – Warberg IC-85, the reigning EC Champion, will play in group A in the EC Finals and AIK, the Swedish Champion, will play in group B in the EC Finals.

 

Finland – Espoon Oilers will play in group B in the EC Finals.

 

Switzerland – The defending champion, SV Wiler Ersigen, is playing versus UHC Alligator Malans in the Playoff Finals. Wiler Ersigen leads 2-1 in a best-of-five system. The Swiss Champion will play in group A in the EC Finals.

 

Czech Republic – Tatran Techtex Stresovice will play in group A in the EC Finals.

 

Norway – Greåker and Gjelleråsen will meet in the Final which is played 22.4. The Norwegian club will play in group B in the EC Finals.

 

  Women:

Sweden– The defending Swedish and EC Champion IKSU will play in group A in the EC Finals. 

Finland – The Finnish Champion, NST, will play in group B in the EC Finals.

 

Switzerland– UHC Dietlikon is playing against the defending champion Red Ants Rychenberg in the Playoff Finals. UHC Dietlikon leads 2-1 in a best-of-five system. The Swiss Champion will play in group B in the EC Finals.

 

Czech Republic – FBC Liberec, the Championship winner, will play in group A in the EC Finals.

 

Norway – Tunet IBK, the defending champion, will meet Sagene in the Final which is played 22.4.2006. The Norwegian club will play in group A in the EC Finals.

 

Latvia – The Latvian Champion, Rubene/Rants, will play in group B in the EC Finals.
