Aiming to show the IFF commitment to sports and willingness to take part in all fields and share the mutual responsibility in the international sports family the IFF Central Board has decided to, already now, apply for ordinary membership of GAISF, although the application will not be treated until 2004, and eventually decided upon in the GAISF Congress 2004.

In line with this the IFF also aims to apply to the International World Games Association – IWGA to become a member in order to be able to take part in the World Games. The statues and laws of IWGA states that IFF first must become an ordinary member of GAISF. Meanwhile the IFF humbly has asked the IWGA for observer status at the upcoming World Games in Duisburg in Germany July 2005.

The IFF has also informed WADA – the World Anti-Doping Agency that the IFF has accepted the World Anti-Doping Code, which was mutually discussed at the World Conference on Doping in Sport, held in Copenhagen 03-05.03.2003.
