The 10th Women’s U19 World Floorball Championships will be played in Katowice, Poland 31st August — 4th September. Finland, Switzerland, Poland and Germany are playing in Group A, Finland being the reigning champions.
FINLAND
Short description of your team and aims at the WU19 WFC 2022?
Team Finland is technically talented team of motivated players. Well organised group is waiting for upcoming games and visiting Poland.

Rookie or young player to look out for on your team and why?
Miisa Turunen is the only 2005 born player at Team Finland, but she has been playing at F-Liiga already several years and has been achieving superb end results.
Who is a leader on and off the field and why?
Suvi Hämäläinen is one of the best players at 2003-age group in the whole world. Suvi Hämäläinen led Finland for the win during last U19 World Championships and is leading again.
Most skilful player?
Miisa Turunen is both the rookie but also the most skilful player in the team. It almost feels that she was born with the floorball stick.
Which player demonstrates #Fairfloorball the best and why?
Alma Laitila is a team player who always puts the team first. She has fair and polite attitude and manners, but that does not affect her game, as she can be very very tough as well.
SWITZERLAND
Short description of your team and aims at the WU19 WFC 2022?
It’s a hungry team characterized by a strong team spirit and a powerful and aggressive style of play. Main team strength is a creative play with ball possession. The goal is to win a medal.

POLAND
Short description of your team and aims at the WU19 WFC 2022?
A team mixed with both rookies and experienced players with a good perspective to compete at their highest level with the „top 4”. As the unexpected host of the WU19 WFC, the main aim for the team is to reach the semi-finals.

Maja Helman
Young and ambitious player. She made her debut at WFC in 2021 when she was 15. Hard working player with great technique and field overview who may shortly appear in SSL.
Who is a leader on and off the field and why?
Katarzyna Słonina
A player with a strong character and ambition to play at the highest level. Not afraid to play one on one and always focused to perform at her best.
Most skilful player?
Marta Bieniasz-Krzywiec
Strong and fast player with great technique and field intelligence. Always commited and playing good in offence as well as defence.

Wiktoria Matera
The team captain in every word that defines it. Helpful, empathetic with good manners. She is the person who will unite the team in the most difficult moments and have your back at all times. #equality
GERMANY
Short description of your team and aims at the WU19 WFC 2022?
The team started to prepare since after the U19WFC in Uppsala. The preparation time was very short due to the pandemic. Most of the players are born 2003 and 2004. However, we have some younger players. The youngest player is born in 2007. Four of the players have been part of the WFC last year. The main goal of the tournament is to stay among the top eight floorball nations.

Rookie or young player to look out for on your team and why?
Nuria Guerbouj is a very young player (born in 2007) with great speed. She is a tough defender who can also shoot well. She likes the challenge and is really looking forward to the tournament.
Who is a leader on and off the field and why?
Janika Willingmann is our team captain. She has a lot of experience from the last U19 WFC, and also from the Women’s national team playing at the WFC 2021. Janika is a brave player and an incredibly fast defender who leads the team on and off the field.
Most skilful player?
Luisa Diesener is a goal scorer. She has a fine technique which helps her to get past her opponents and sneak the ball into the net. She is very experienced having played already at one U19 WFC and one Women’s WFC.
Which player demonstrates #Fairfloorball the best and why?
Virginia Kunkel has played since she was very young. She always supports floorball and her team and is willing to give 100% for her goals.
