The Swiss Superfinal is played on Saturday 27th of April at Swiss Arena in Kloten. Piranha Chur and Kloten-Dietlikon Jets are playing in the women’s final and Grasshopper Club Zürich and SV Wiler-Ersigen in the men’s final.

Women’s final

The women’s final has the same composition as last year. The reigning champion Piranha Chur made it to the final after defeating Skorpion Emmental Zollbrück in the semi-finals. The series ended 3-1 for Chur. Kloten-Dietlikon Jets won against Unihockey Berner Oberland 3-0 in the semi-final series. The final is expected to be as tight as last year when the winner had to be decided in overtime. Both teams also have many star players, for example the Mobiliar Topscorers Corin Rüttimann (Chur) and Michelle Wiki (Jets) to name a few.

Grasshopper Club Zürich and SV Wiler-Ersigen will be playing in the men’s final. GC  Zürich had some hard time in the semi-finals against UHC Alligator Malans and the series went all the way to the seventh game. The last game was GC’s domination, final numbers being 9-3. SV Wiler-Ersigen defeated the reigning champion Floorball Köniz 4-1 in the semi-final series. Last year the team ended up being the runner-up in the final and is surely hungry to win the championship this year. Many national team stars can be found in both team’s rosters. WFC Prague’s MVP Pascal Meier is the last brick in GC’s defence where as the legendary forward Matthias Hofbauer is chasing SV Wiler Ersigen’s 12th championship title.
