The Cameroon Floorball Association has officially launched the new season 2021-2022.

As a prelude to the official launch of the Floorball sports season in Cameroon 2021-2022 it was decided that there will be a championship for all genders organized. So far, nine male and six female teams have signed up to participate this year which is scheduled to start on January 11, 2022. The National President, Yvette Manong, of the Cameroon Floorball Association (CFA) launched the 2021-2022 Floorball season in Yaoundé with a training workshop.

The following subjects are found on the workshop’s agenda which will last for four days.

  • How to choose and hold the stick
  • Basic floorball such as ball handling, passing and shooting
  • Basic training on rules and being a referee
  • Floorball club and team management

Sticks and balls were provided by the National Association. This was just the first workshop. Similar events and workshops are planned to be executed in other regions as well. President Yvette Manong and her team decided to travel to the various regions of Cameroon in order to relaunch these activities within the framework of their FED program (Floorball Exhibition Days). This first workshops which was rolled out in Yaoundé (Central Region) last Saturday, November 6 and which was completed on Tuesday, November 10, will be repeated in Douala (Littoral Region) and in Bafoussam (West Region). Furthermore, a referee training workshop for Referees will be organized in early January 2022, Limbe (South-West Region).
