Floorball Köniz continue their transfer offensive. From 2021/2022 the colours of the new Swiss Champions will be represented by Jan Zaugg. Michaela Sponiarova is leaving Czech Champions from Ostrava for Swedish Täby FC.
Zaugg spent two years in Sweden where he played for Mullsjö AIS. Now he returns to his home club Floorball Köniz. For two consecutive years the Swiss national team player was a top scorer in Mullsjö, while in his first season in SSL he was named a Rookie of the year with 43 goals and 17 assists. He was also chosen as the 10th best male player in the world by Innebandymagazinet in 2020. 2020/2021 season ended for Mullsjö AIS in play-offs where they were eliminated by Storvreta. Zaugg ended his season with 51 points (39 goals, 12 assists) in 38 games. Zaugg played for Swiss National Team at the World Floorball Championships 2018 in Prague and he is preparing for the upcoming WFC in Helsinki.
Another international experience for Michaela Sponiarova who originally comes from Slovakia. After winning Czech title with 1. SC Vitkovice and not losing a game during entire season, Sponiarova will join Swedish SSL team – Täby FC. She was the top scorer of the regular season in Czech Republic with 32 goals. Sponiarova has represented Slovak National Team since 2011 with a successful individual performance on each WFC. In 2019 in Neuchatel she scored 13 points (8+5) and in 2017 in Bratislava 17 points (8+9). Sponiarova is now preparing for the 2021 WFC in Sweden.
