Hungary and Netherlands kept their chances for the top 2 spots. Russia triumph over Austria and take first ticket to Uppsala.

HUNGARY – NETHERLANDS
After a rest day on Thursday, Netherlands was playing Hungary on the first match of the day. It was an extremely tight contest throughout the whole match with nothing to separate the teams. #51 Evi Wolters completed a hat-trick while #15 Nora Lelovics showed a true striker instinct scoring 6 out of 7 goals for Hungary. Dutch team thought they had grabbed the win with 6 minutes to go but #15 Nora Lelovics took the ball and earned her team a deserved draw. Thanks to the 7-7 result, both teams kept their chances for the U19 WFC 2020 spot.

 

RUSSIA – AUSTRIA
Both teams were undefeated and were fighting for the top position in the U19 WFCQ. Russians started very strong scoring their opening goal after only 15 seconds. They continued to press and scored 3 more in the first period. An impressive performance from #11 Elizaveta Nadeeva who scored a hat-trick and helped Russia lead the tournament with the maximum of six points. The final score was 12-0. After today’s matches Austria, Hungary and Netherlands still have a chance to finish up in second place.

The competition resumes today with Netherlands v Russia playing at 15:00 followed by the evening match at 18:00 between Hungary and Italy.
