The new Super Cup will start the floorball season in Finland on Saturday 12th of September. The event was originally planned to take place in Mikkeli, but due to the local coronavirus situation, the event will now be played at Ideapark in Lempäälä.

In the Super Cup, the F-Liiga title holders are challenged by the Finnish Cup champions. In the Men’s Super Cup, Classic will face Nokian KrP and in the Women’s Super Cup SB-Pro and PSS will meet. Classic and SB-Pro are Finnish champions from 2019 and Nokian KrP and PSS made it to last season’s Finnish Cup final where they lost against Classic and SB-Pro. Super Cup is going to be an annual event and an event that will start the new season.

The event was planned to take place in Mikkeli but due to coronavirus situation in the city, the Super Cup was relocated to Ideapark in Lempäälä. The event will be organised in Mikkeli in autumn 2021.

In total 300 spectators are allowed to watch the games at Ideapark. Both matches are streamed on IFF YouTube 1.

– We want to offer top floorball also to the international audience, so in addition to the Finnish Ruutu channel, the matches will also be available via Novasport in Czech Republic and Slovakia as well as on the IFF YouTube channel. As our goal is to make our mark also internationally, we need to be able to show our sport to all floorball fans around the world, says F-Liiga CEO Kimmo Nurminen.
