The Floorball Champions Cup 2027 has reached the semi-final stage. The remaining teams will play each other twice, with the winners progressing to the final. Here is a look at the four men’s teams that have made it through: Nokian KrP (Finland), Floorball Thurgau (Switzerland), Storvreta IBK (Sweden), and Tatran Střešovice (Czech Republic).
Nokian KrP vs Floorball Thurgau
Reigning Finnish champions Nokian KrP are the only Finnish side left in the competition. They reached the semi-finals after a tough quarter-final against IBF Falun, winning the first leg and drawing the second 2-2. Despite significant changes to their squad over the summer—including the departure of their long-time captain, Joona Rantala, to rivals Classic—Nokian KrP remain a dominant force in both the Finnish league and this tournament. Juuso Ahola, a familiar face in the Finnish national team, remains one of their top scorers. They are also bolstered by the dangerous Czech forward, Adam Zubek. Meanwhile, all eyes will be on Valtteri Viitakoski, who faces his former club, Floorball Thurgau, for the first time.
Floorball Thurgau are debutants in the Champions Cup, but they have already made an impression. In the quarterfinals against Florbal MB, Pablo Mariotti was the hero of the second leg, scoring the golden goal that secured their place in the semi-finals. Elia Seiler has also been in fine form, netting three goals across the two matches. Interestingly, the Swiss side features several Finnish players, including goalkeeper Oskari Fälden and forwards Aaro Helin and Markus Sipronen. It will be fascinating to see if they can overcome the experienced Finnish champions.

Storvreta IBK vs. Tatran Střešovice
Storvreta and Tatran meet once again in the Champions Cup semi-finals. Storvreta won convincingly when these two sides met last year, but will this year be different? Tatran’s squad now includes Filip Langer and Ondřej Němeček, both of whom played for the Swedish side last season. Tatran reached this stage after two very tight matches against HC Rychenberg, winning the first 5-4 and drawing the second 3-3. Marek Beneš has been their standout performer so far, contributing two goals and an assist.
Storvreta’s path to the semi-finals was remarkably similar to Tatran’s. They faced Finnish side SPV in the quarterfinals, winning the first match 2-1 and drawing the second 3-3—a result that was just enough to see them through. Filip Eriksson has started the SSL season in incredible form, recording 12 goals and 7 assists in just 6 matches, making him the second-highest scorer in the league. He is closely followed by teammate Gabriel Kohonen, who has 5 goals and 13 assists. Will these players or someone else lead Storvreta to the Champions Cup final?
