Italy and Austria played their last matches in Group D at Men’s U19 WFC in Brno. Italy, who lost to Poland 0:28 in the first match, played better against Austria. The match was even the whole time, but Austria won 5:2.

Omar Garofalo scored Italy’s first goal of the tournament with a beautiful powerplay shot in the 24th minute. At that moment, the score was 1:1 and the Italia was at times the more active team. The decisive moment was a missed penalty shot by striker Rubeo in the 45th minute. The referee had to confirm that the ball had not crossed the goal line after watching the video. In the end, Austria won 5:2 and finished second in Group D behind Poland.
